Pancake breakfast photos

The kids all showed up bright eyed and bushy tailed by 6:30am last Saturday.

Julian and Julian put up a sign.

The kids held signs and got people who were driving by to come in for a bite to eat.

Tyler listens politely as he receives advice from his little brother regarding the best way to hold his sign.

Tristan and Julian figure out the cash register.

Mr. Melvin Paul.  He explained he'd survived a recent bout with cancer.  He said when the doctors told him he was in remission he didn't know if remission was a good thing or a bad thing because he didn't know what "remission" meant!  His sister was rejoicing at the news so he figured it had to be good news.  He said the 4-H breakfast was very good.

Our cashier shares her bright smile and cheerful attitude with each and every customer.

Well, the cook may have cooked some of the pancakes a lil' bit too long.  But hey, they weren't wasted.  Cecilio ate one.  He said it was delicious.  He likes his pancakes cooked real, real, done.  The kids played frisbee with the rest.  Leah took it good-naturedly.

The men were quick to jump in when it was time to clean up.  In fact everyone helped with sweeping, washing dishes, wiping tables, putting things in boxes, stacking chairs. The kids left the dining area cleaner than it was when we got there.
