Tonight the winner of the raffle was drawn. Everyone waited with bated breath to hear the winner's name announced. It was Mr. Ted Ontiveros! His winnings amount to exactly half of the total raffle monies raised, so tonight he is $190.00 richer than he was. Woohoo! Congratulations Mr. Ontiveros. Hey, can I borrow fifty bucks?
We express our appreciation to each and every person who participated in the raffle. We had tickets purchased from as far as California. I wonder if next year's club could sell this many? Three hundred and eighty tickets sounds pretty hard to beat.
The funds raised will help defray costs for project materials and activities that the youth in our 4-H group will participate in this year. Individual 4-H clubs receive no direct funding from government sources so successful fundraisers like this one are an essential component of the 4-H program.
